After thorough research and analysis, NIU introduces an advanced brushless magnet motor by BOSCH. Every element of the MQi-Series' electric powertrain is meticulously crafted to strike an ideal equilibrium between power and energy efficiency. This ensures the motor delivers ample power while minimizing energy wastage.

FIELD ORIENTED CONTROL (FOC)

To establish communication with the MQi-Series motor, NIU engineered the FOC vector controller. By deploying an intricate algorithm, conducting rigorous motor assessments, and fine-tuning power input, a seamless acceleration rate of approximately 10% input ≈ 10% output was realized. The FOC represents the forefront of pioneering technology.

ELECTRONIC BRAKING SYSTEM (EBS)

In a conventional scooter, braking generates kinetic energy that often goes to waste. However, with NIU's EBS, this kinetic energy from braking is harnessed and restored to the battery, potentially increasing your range by up to 6%.

CLOUD ECU

At the heart of the MQi-Series is the Cloud ECU, an intelligent scooter analyst. It gathers, diagnoses, and processes your driving data, acting as your personal riding companion. After each ride, the cloud connection analyzes data, enhancing the intelligent riding experience by learning your driving patterns. ECU’s powerful data capabilities let you check 17 different vehicle statuses like location, riding history, vehicle status, and power statistics in real-time on the mobile app.

3-AXIS MOTION SENSOR

If your vehicle is moved, the positioning system will give you accurate real-time location data. If your scooter is bumped, you will be immediately notified. If your scooter is knocked over, an alert will be sent to your phone. If the scooter’s battery is disconnected when the scooter is ‘locked’, you will receive a pop-up notification on your phone.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS)

The BMS does more than provide a precise calculation of charge and discharge. It analyzes the current, voltage, temperature, communications, and 10 other electrical protection mechanisms to ensure that each section of the battery is protected and operating efficiently.

KEYLESS IGNITION & MOTOR LOCK

The MQi-Series key allows you to remotely unlock your scooter from up to 50 meters away. The motor lock is an additional layer of protection and can be activated if an unauthorized movement of your scooter is made. You can be rest assured that the lock can only be activated when the scooter is in a "parking" mode.

LIGHTING SYSTEM

MQi+ Sport uses a 360° lighting system for your safety. The daytime running light, LED headlight, 270° semi-enveloped taillight and auto-indicators give you maximum visibility when riding your scooter.
